Why this happens
Network infrastructure gets built project by project and then forgotten. The electrician pulls cables, a provider configures the firewall, someone adds a switch — and from then on it runs, unobserved, often for years. What accumulates is not infrastructure but archaeology: layers of decisions nobody can explain any more.
It becomes dangerous in two places. Security: a firewall without firmware updates and rule maintenance is a doorman who fell asleep years ago. And every change: without documentation, every touch is a risk and every outage a search expedition.

The site fee
Some effort accrues per site — regardless of whether ten or a hundred people work there: documentation, monitoring the internet connectivity, coordinating providers, a fixed rhythm of checks and reporting. We bill that honestly as one fee per site instead of smuggling it into the per-seat price. It is also our minimum engagement per customer.
Managed firewall
Configuration care, firmware updates, rule changes within a fair scope, regular log review. Every rule has a documented reason — and rules without reasons get removed. The auditor’s question “why is this port open?” gets answered from documentation, not from memory.
Switches and Wi-Fi
Monitoring, firmware levels, per-device configuration backup. When a switch dies, its replacement is restored from the saved configuration — in hours, not days. “Somehow bad Wi-Fi” becomes a measurement with a finding.
Internet connectivity
We monitor the line, know your contracts and run the fault report with the carrier — including the tedious part in the hold queue.

FAQ
Do you take over a network cabinet you did not build? Yes, that is the normal case. It starts with an assessment: what hangs where, what does it do, what state is it in. The resulting documentation is yours to keep — even if we do not end up working together.
What about zero trust — is the classic firewall still needed? Both have their place. The firewall protects the site; zero-trust access protects your employees’ path to their applications — especially from home. Zero trust is an optional add-on with us; it complements site security, it does not replace it.
Multiple sites? Each site gets its own fee and its own documentation; we plan and operate the connectivity between them. The site view pays off precisely at branch offices without their own IT staff.
